CIRCOM Regional and the University of Vigo (Galicia) have reached an agreement to formalize their collaboration on a new study building on the activities of the CIRCOM Regional Chair at the University of Vigo.

The study Women Leadership on CIRCOM Regional aims to analyze female leadership within CIRCOM Regional network in order to understand how the presence of women in decision-making roles influences organizational strategies, institutional culture, and digital transformation processes.

We would warmly invite you to take a few minutes to complete the questionnaire and share your experiences, insights, and perspectives. Your contribution would be greatly appreciated and would help enrich this important research.

Following the questionnaire, the University of Vigo may also invite those who have expressed an interest to take part in an interview, offering an opportunity to share their experiences in greater depth.

Thank you very much for your time, your continued support, and your contribution to advancing women’s leadership in our sector. We would also be grateful if you could share this invitation with colleagues in your organization who might be interested in taking part.

We truly appreciate your help in making this initiative a success!

We are taking the first steps towards a new European network for minority media teams within CIRCOM - a space for sharing experiences, inspiration and new collaborations.

A working group is being formed to develop collaboration based on real needs, experiences and ideas from those who work with minority journalism themselves within CIRCOM’s member organisations.

Across Europe, minority newsrooms operate under unique and sometimes challenging conditions. Those can be external perspectives and feedback, questions about legitimacy and competence, and difficulties in balancing organizational strategies with the needs of their audiences, languages, and cultural contexts.

At the same time, there is a lack of shared forums where these newsrooms can meet, exchange experiences, and develop solutions tailored to their realities.

CIRCOM Regional, with its unique network, can contribute to:

- Strengthen the capacity, confidence, and networks of minority newsrooms
- Improve the ability to meet audience needs
- Encourage knowledge-sharing and cross-border collaboration
- Contribute to more inclusive and representative media strategies
- Contribute to activities such as workshops, skills development, peer exchange, expert sessions, method development for example.
