CIRCOM Regional and Radio-televizija Vojvodine sign agreement for the 37th Annual Conference of CIRCOM Regional
The 2019 key CIRCOM forum will be hosted by Radio-televizija Vojvodine and will be held on May 30th and 31st, 2019 in Novi Sad, Vojvodina, Serbia
Letter of Agreement for organising the 37th Annual Conference of CIRCOM Regional was signed by Dr. Miodrag Koprivica, Director General of Radio Television of Vojvodina, and Jyri Kataja-Rahko, President of CIRCOM Regional and Fernando Ojea, Secretary General of CIRCOM Regional, at the meeting of the CR Executive Committee on November 30th in Novi Sad.
"Next year our city will be the European Youth Capital. We hope that this Conference will contribute to opening Novi Sad to Europe and to the world", Dr. Miodrag Koprivica said on the occasion.
"We have many things in common at the moment. There are many things to handle and we should go together and our people should talk to each other. There will be really interesting speakers and it will be really good conference for everyone", Jyri Kataja-Rahko said.
The situation in media is quite interesting, the CR President said regarding the prospective agenda of the 2019 Conference "If you look what is happening in the USA – the trust in media is going down very fast. We will have to get the people to trust more the public service media – that will be one interesting theme. And of course, the future of media, because Artificial Intelligence technologies will come, they are already here".
The ongoing preparations for the 2019 Annual Conference was one of the main topics discussed during the Executive Committee and the European Board held on December 1st . The Future of Regional Media is set as the theme of the Conference. This will allow reaching out for key issues the regional media are facing today – from technology driven development to strengthening audience trust in public service media to meeting the needs of younger generations in quality news, education and entertainment.
