Hosted by The Regional Studio TVR Timisoara and the Association Timisoara 2023 European Capital of Culture, this practical course provided an introduction to mobile digital journalism. Journalists developed their filming, editing and creative skills, making short reports on their mobile phones. 

The workshop was led by Jules Hyam, a highly experienced journalist and media trainer with over 25 years’ experience at the BBC and as an independent film maker.

Hosted in Timisoara, the European Capital of Culture 2023, delegates worked towards making films to be broadcasted as part of the city’s cultural celebration. This was an opportunity for delegates to combine their journalism and your creativity to find and tell stories about the people of Timisoara as the city celebrates its cultural life. No filming or editing experience was needed – just enthusiasm, hard work and a willingness to develop mobile story telling skills.
