Many CIRCOM members know about the ROOS foundation through the training sessions they offered during their annual event called ROOS Dagen. The umbrella organisation that provided services and helped coordinate all regional public TV stations (and CIRCOM members) merged with its sibling RPO - Regionale Publieke Omroep - Regional public broadcasting.
The merger officially took place on July 1st 2017.
Gerard Schuiteman, CIRCOM National Coordinator for the Netherlands:
The RPO was founded last year and represents the interests of all Dutch regional public service broadcasters. Because of an amendment of the Dutch Medialaw in 2016, the RPO is appointed as the official body that coordinates the activities of the regional public service broadcasters. ROOS no longer exist as of the 1st of July.
CIRCOM is looking forward to continuing its long time collaboration with Dutch Regional Public Broadcasters through their new umbrella organisation, RPO.
