24 April 2026 - Prix CIRCOM 2026 has set a new record with 272 entries from across Europe, underlining the growing creativity and diversity of regional public service media.
The judging, hosted by Bulgarian National Television from 15–17 April in Ruse, brought together 14 jury members from 14 countries and 7 further working remotely. For the first time, the jury was supported by a group of young social media users, offering insight into how digital audiences engage with news and storytelling.
More than 7,300 minutes of content were assessed, with part of the process conducted remotely in advance due to the high volume of submissions.
Prix CIRCOM remains distinctive in providing detailed professional feedback on every entry in it's Jury Report.
Submissions increased across several of the 12 categories, including Documentary, Diversity in Society and Video Journalist, while the newly separated Entertainment and Drama categories saw strong uptake. The updated Social Media/Online Storytelling category also highlighted innovative approaches to reaching younger audiences.
The United Kingdom submitted the highest number of entries, while judging host country Bulgaria significantly increased participation, and Spanish regional broadcasters maintained a strong presence.
Prix CIRCOM continues to be a key platform for recognising excellence and innovation in regional broadcasting.
