BBC Academy, Bristol, UK
18th – 22nd February 2012
This was the seventh Training the Trainers course held in Bristol and it received the highest feedback score from any of the many CIRCOM training events of the past 20 years. Eleven delegates representing 10 countries gave a massive 97% rating for the course – ah well, nobody’s perfect.
The delegates came from Albania, Belgium, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Hungary, Norway, Spain, Sweden and the UK. They proved to be highly motivated and all of them had the desire to learn the skills necessary to pass on their knowledge and experience in a meaningful and professional way.
During the course the delegates learnt the ways people learn, how best to communicate with people and how best to design and deliver training courses. Media students from the local college provided exceptional support by acting as trainees in order for the trainers to practice their new-found skills.
Thanks must once again go to Simon Major the course leader, and to the BBC Academy and Tracy Hall for welcoming us once again to this unique and highly successful training event.
