Workshop 1
17 journalists from 14 countries attended the workshop held in Brussels from 9th – 13th February. Fernando Carbajo, Head of the Audio-Visual Services and Juana Lahousse-Juarez, DG Comms. at the European Parliament welcomed the delegates and introduced them to the objectives, facilities and support available to them in the run-up to the May 22nd European elections and beyond.
The journalists exchanged past experience and ideas with each other and focussed on how election coverage could be more interesting and engaging to their audiences. Some examples of the presentations made and clips from past election coverage will be available for members in the next few days.
The results and effect of their programming will be discussed and evaluated during a further workshop to be held in October this year.
