Past Coproductions: THE CANDIDATES
- Details
The enlargement of the European Union is an historic task: Starting from the year 2004 20 to 25 states - perhaps even more - will belong to the European Union. The candidate states are attracted by the promise of peace, stability and prosperity. It is a process that is without present in terms of scope and diversity.
The television series "The Candidates" introduces the 10 most promising candidates by offering in depth reports on political, economic and cultural issues.
- Who are the candidate states? How do they cope with political and economic reforms? How do they prepare for a EU-membership?
- What do the candidate states expect from their membership in the European Union? What does the average "man on the street" think about the enlargement process?
- How are the candidate states viewed by the committees and experts of European institutions?
10 packages of in depth coverage
