Citizen Heroes Co-production Project – EU Protects

Fifteen TV stations, all CIRCOM members, took part in the Citizen Heroes co-production project – EU Protects. Thanks to a grant from the European Commission, they produced, in total editorial independence, 16 stories about European Citizen Heroes ,part of European Networks that protect EU citizens throughout the continent.
Each co-production member produced one story locally and made it available to all other CIRCOM members to broadcast. The production lasted from June till September 2019.
In this particular Citizen Heroes project, the general theme was “EU protectS”, as described on the website of the EU Protects action.
Various subthemes were proposed such as Safety, Health, Environment, Society etc.
The Citizen Heroes project develops the inclusion of interviews and reports with average EU citizens Members of European Netrworks as well as interviews of the final beneficiaries of the help and protection of the European Networks through the actions of Citizen Heroes.

Citizenship Co-production Project - round 4

Citizenship Project round 4 (January - May 2017 )
Thirteen TV stations, all CIRCOM members, took part in 4th edition of the Citizenship co-production project. Thanks to a grant from the European Parliament, they produced a total of 39 stories about European matters and gave a voice to the citizens of the continent, in total editorial independence.
Each of the 13 co-production members produced three stories locally and make them available to all other CIRCOM members to broadcast. The production started in January 2017 and lasted until May 2017.
Three main topics of the 4th edition of the Citizenship co-production project:
- Big cities
sub-themes: Mobility – (Un)Employment – Start up – Uber – Health – Urbanistic – Rural exodus – Depopulation – Relations of countryside inhabitants with cities
- Future
sub-themes: 60 years of the Rome Treaty: what’s next – EU Citizenship – Gender – Digital natives – Pension – Aging – Health– (Un)Employment – Start up – Innovation in agriculture
- Border lines
sub-themes: Russia – Turkey – Syria – Ukraine – EU Army – Territorial Defense – Refugees – Communities – Cross border cooperation – Ocean – Neighborhood policies – Exodus abroad – Schengen
For the first time this year, the Citizenship project included the production of interviews and reports with Members of the European Parliament. Fifteen items were put together around the three themes of the project: Borderlines, Future and Big Cities.
The fourth round of the project was kickstarted on December 16th 2016 as members held their first editorial meeting.
