CIRCOM Regional gives its full support to the audiovisual public service in Greece.

As President and Secretary General of CIRCOM Regional, we have been shocked by the brutal suspension of ERT, the Greek audiovisual public service.

As the European association of regional broadcasters, we remind the Greek authorities of the role and the missions of public service broadcasting in Europe. It is the guarantor of pluralism of information, of its independence and a key player of the European cultures.

We urge the Greek authorities to review this undemocratic and unprofessional action and to change, as soon as possible, their decision.
